BioI have a Ph.D in history. I started out as a historian of early modern England, but now I'm best described as a colonial Americanist who is interested in trans-Atlantic politics. My favorite century is the seventeenth, although I can talk intelligently about the sixteenth and the eighteenth as well.
At the moment, I am trying to find a tenure track job in my field. Only 50% of people who earn doctoral degrees go on to find such a job, so the odds are against me . . . but I just might get what I want after all. We'll see.
